Millie Bobby Brown returns as Enola Holmes, younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, to solve cases in Enola Holmes 2, which premieres on Netflix today (November 4). As a sequel to the successful first film Enola Holmes, based on the novel series of the same name by Nancy Springer, Enola returns and follows in her brother’s footsteps by starting her detective agency. Enola soon finds that running her agency isn’t as easy as it seems, and just as she’s about to give up hope of getting a case, an opportunity presents itself to help in the search for her client’s missing sister help. The film also sees the return of Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Helena Bonham Carter as Sherlock and Enola’s mother, Eudoria. Enola Holmes 3 Renewed or Canceled?
Enola Holmes 2 concludes with the introduction of two iconic and immensely important characters from Doyle’s franchise: Moriarty and John Watson. The twist is that in this version of the story, Moriarty is a black woman. the Holmes will meet them again.
These first encounters are staged in the film in such a way that they promise future interactions. Along with Enola finally starting her detective agency, there will inevitably be an Enola Holmes. Although there were no official statements from Netflix at the time of writing, positive reviews indicate that a renewal will be announced soon.
Enola Holmes 3 Release Date
As mentioned above, Netflix has yet to officially confirm Enola Holmes 3, so we don’t have a release date for all three sequels just yet. However, we can make some educated guesses as the first film arrived in September 2020 and the sequel followed in November 2022.
A year-end release of the third film seems likely, but we could wait until at least September 2024. It could also likely be delayed as Brown and Cavill will likely be pretty busy with Stranger Things soon. Season five and are both potential Superman movies, so there could be a knock-on effect for Enola Holmes 3. Let’s hope not.
Enola Holmes 3 Cast
Enola Holmes would be very strange without Millie Bobby Brown as Enola, so she’ll surely be back when a third film is confirmed. Also expected are Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, Helen Bonham Carter as Enola and Sherlock’s mother Eudoria, Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Susie Wokoma as Edith, and Adeel Akhtar as Lestrade. Sam Claflin wasn’t in the role of Enola’s brother Mycroft Holmes in Enola Holmes 2 due to scheduling conflicts, so hopefully, they could return. for a third film.
Enola Holmes 2 director Harry Bradbeer said that Sam is welcome if there’s a third film: “Well, it was Sam’s schedule, which was very clear, so Sam wasn’t going to be in it. If there were one in the future we’d love to have it back,” he told Collider. Hopefully, a third film would also see the return of Sharon Duncan-Brewster as the legendary villain Moriarty. And as revealed in the scene after the credits roll, Himesh Patel joins her as Sherlock’s sidekick, Dr. John Watson added to the cast, so ideally he’ll be back for a third film.
Enola Holmes 3 Plot
With Moriarty and John Watson on the show, Enola Holmes has brought together all of the classic A.Doyle characters. It’s safe to say that they will play a crucial role should there be a third party. Like the first two parts, the third part will likely be loosely based on a novel by Nancy Springer. dynamic in Victorian England.
Keep your fingers crossed, the movies of the future will live up to that! Though we hope the admired Sherlock-Moriarty relationship doesn’t overshadow Enola herself. After all, this is her series and the flamboyant young lady deserves to keep it. in focus.
Enola Holmes 2 Recap
London has a new detective in town, and she’s determined to solve every mystery that comes her way if only someone would puzzle her. In Enola Holmes 2, the titular detective (played by Millie Bobby Brown) struggles to be taken seriously as a detective by the people of London. Not exactly an easy task when your older brother is none other than the famous Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill). Things take a turn for Enola when a match girl named Bessie (Serrana Su-Ling Bliss) goes for help locating her missing older sister. Enola goes undercover at the Lyon match factory where Bessie works to find out who might have something for her older sister Sarah, and in the process uncovers the truly horrific conditions under which young working-class women are forced to work Meanwhile, Sherlock works on his case at 221b Baker Street. One that at first glance is a far cry from the working-class struggle that is taking up Enola’s time. However, when all signs point to Lyon, the brothers realize that their two cases are two sides of the same insidious conspiracy. When Enola tries to get to the bottom of Sarah’s disappearance, she goes undercover at a high society ball attended by William Lyon (Gabriel Tierney), the son of a match factory owner. Henry Lyon (David Westhead).
During a quiet moment on the balcony, he is approached by Mira Troy (Sharon Duncan-Brewster), Lord McIntyre’s (Tim McMullin) secretary. The Minister of Finance sees and hears everything but often goes unnoticed. That’s enough to make her a formidable opponent. But after all, this is also a Sherlock Holmes story. And what would a Sherlock Holmes story be without its most formidable rival, Moriarty? Yes, just as Enola is befriending Mira Troy, Sherlock realizes that the person behind the high-profile robberies he is investigating is a person calling himself Moriarty, what eagle? Eyed viewers will recognize that it is an anagram of “Look Troy”. at a later meeting with Sherlock and Enola. Enola learns that Sarah (Hannah Dodd) was never actually missing, but instead hid in plain sight with William Lyon while the two plotted to uncover the dangerous practices at the match factory. Switching to cheaper phosphorus sickens and kills girls, although bosses like to dismiss it as typhoid.
Following William’s murder, Sarah is driven by her desire for justice and attempts to turn Henry Lyon and Lord McIntyre over to the authorities, but the pages of their evidence are destroyed before she can. He does not go out for a long time and decides to apply justice in another way. Authorities may not want to hold rich men accountable, but the match girls think otherwise. She rounds them all up and convinces them to quit their jobs at Lyon’s Match Factory, a nod to the real match strike of 1888. The film begins with Enola proudly setting up her detective shop, complete with her window with her name painted on the glass. It doesn’t take long for things to go so wrong that it’s forced to close. However, after the success of his investigations, he decides to stay in London and now uses the office behind Edith’s (Susan Wokoma) jiu-jitsu studio as his base of operations. Life, her investigation into Sarah’s disappearance puts her more directly in the path of her boyfriend Tewksbury (Louis Partridge), who is actively trying to do the best he can from his position in the House of Lords.
The two share a very romantic dance at the dance she crashes into a not-so-romantic setting and then confesses they love each other. Their story in the film ends with the two walking down the street together arm in arm. While this may not be as dramatic as some other mid-credits scenes Cavill has done recently, Enola Holmes 2’s story doesn’t end once the credits graphics start rolling. Cut back to Sherlock at 221b Baker St. Thursday at 3:59 p.m. awaiting your scheduled visit from Enola. There is a knock on the door and he opens it, but on the other side of the door is not his younger sister but a grown man (Himesh Patel) following Sherlock’s search for a roommate. Sherlock finds out quickly. It was a trick by his sister, who is determined to find him a boyfriend. The man at the door introduces himself as Dr. John Watson and with that, all the main characters of Sherlock Holmes have entered the scene.
