Disney has not confirmed that Enchanted 3 will be released. Disenchanted spent years in development before finally having a production and release schedule, so it’s hard to say if there will be a third film in the franchise. The existence of Disenchanted suggests so. There could be a sequel in the future, but it may not be likely unless there’s a much quicker turnaround. Also, the success of Disenchanted will be harder to gauge given that it will be released exclusively on Disney+ instead of in theaters. As of now, there’s no word on another sequel, and fans probably won’t hear about possible plans to make one for a long time, if any.

Enchanted 3 Release Date

If Disenchanted performs well enough to warrant a sequel,  Enchanted 3 may not be released for several years. It took Disney 15 years to complete the sequel to the original film, but if the studio works faster, a potential Disenchanted sequel could be released in five years, or 2027 at the earliest. After Charmed’s initial release in 2007, a sequel wasn’t released until three years later discussed in 2010, so it will likely be Charmed 3 if confirmed will follow the same path. In the worst case, a possible third Enchanted film will come out in another 15 years, but it will have to change its story focus by then.

Enchanted 3 Cast

If Disney gets the green light for Enchanted 3, Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden could return. After Giselle, Robert, and Morgan settled in Monroeville, Maya Rudolph was able to return as well. Set several years in the future,  Gabriella Baldacchino may not return as Morgan once the character is grown and has a life of her own.

Enchanted 3 Plot

At the end of the story, Giselle and Morgan were reconciled, Monroeville and its people returned to their normal state, and Andalasia was saved from extinction. monroelasia. “Disenchanted” ties things together quite nicely at the end and doesn’t leave the door open for more stories to be told, which makes sense given the long filming time of the sequel. Left things open-ended, would have promised a sequel that the filmmakers couldn’t guarantee. However, it is always possible to explore the Andalusian side of things by following the story of King Edward, Queen Nancy, and the Ogre Rebellion.

Disenchanted 3 Recap

Disney has often been accused of relying too much on the past with an endless stream of live-action remakes of our childhood favorites. As with Hocus Pocus 2, however, we’re glad Disney was nostalgic for Disenchanted. It’s been 15 years since  Enchanted was released, and fans have been asking for a sequel for just as long. The brilliant original film saw Disney gently mocking itself by subverting the tropes of its animated classics by dropping an archetypal Disney Princess into the real world. Enchanted wasn’t a sure thing, as it would be easy to fall for the conceit, but due to its hilarious script, perfect cast, and unforgettable songs, it became an instant Disney classic. No wonder it took so long to make a sequel as it would have been daunting to try to recreate the same magical combination. Like the first film, Disenchanted has a strong concept: what happens after Happily Ever After? Can it exist in real life? World? It’s been 15 years for Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and Giselle in particular needs a change what could be nicer than moving to the suburbs? On the surface, Monroeville seems like the perfect place for Giselle to find a new spark in her life.

But real life is never as easy to “fix” as it was for her in Andalusia, and instead of living happily, Giselle decides to turn to the magic of her old home for help. new home into a real fairy tale that may sound magical but ends up threatening both her family and her old home. He even begins to turn Giselle into the most iconic of all Disney tropes: an evil stepmother. Lady Tremaine had better watch out, there’s a new villain in town. Admittedly, Disenchanted doesn’t just repeat the same beats as the original. The elements are there, like the songs and tons of Disney Easter eggs, but the characters, especially Giselle, have a sense of progression. Amy Adams effortlessly returns to Giselle’s upbeat tone, but now there’s a world-weariness behind him as if he needs to try harder to be that upbeat. Once the spell is cast, Adams lands in a dual role where Giselle’s good side fights against the evil that comes out (think Gollum and Sméagol, but Disney) and it’s hugely entertaining.

A lot of the first film’s success lay in its cast, and Maya Rudolph’s promise as the evil queen ends up being as good as expected. ‘Badder’, Disenchanted comes closest to the gameplay of the original. However, the main problem is that by turning the real world into a fairy tale world,  something is lost along the way. Charmed worked because it sent fairytale tropes into the real world. , but is where Disenchanted becomes a live-action fairy tale. It removes most of the jokes as the characters become the stereotypes the first film satirized. By shifting to a fairytale world, Disenchanted becomes more of a musical than the first film was. But even with the brilliant Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz behind them, the songs are largely forgotten. They are nice while they happen. , but beyond ‘Badder’ you won’t remember them beyond the credits. ‘Defy Gravity. However, it often feels like more time has been devoted to these clever references rather than turning them into standalone classic songs. While the songs are a bit disappointing, the game is fun elsewhere. Adams and Rudolph are the wildest entertainers, but Dempsey amuses himself with a fairy tale hero, and Menzel, as expected, gives it his all in his solo numbers. (Though James Marsden is criminally underutilized. It’s hard to resist the feeling that, entertaining as it usually is, disenchanted as is, it feels pretty flat compared to the original. It’s not only because of the songs but also because of the over-the-top storyline that tries to give everyone something and only creates some underdeveloped subplots. Devoted fans will still have lots of fun catching up with Giselle, Robert, and co. and trying to catch as many Easter eggs as possible. It’s hard to imagine that after a third film there will be the same noise as after a sequel.
