Since its introduction in Season 3, Landon’s Teeter has been one of the show’s unique characters. She is one of the first female ranch employees to receive the Yellowstone Ranch label and swears allegiance to the Duttons. Lately, viewers have been trying to figure out where Teeter’s accent came from. In the series, Teeter is from Texas and has a large family in the South. In an interview, actress Jennifer Landon claimed that Teeter’s family shaped the way he spoke. However, the actress declined to attribute the accent to any particular region of Texas. Landon explained that creator Taylor writes Sheridan Teeter’s dialogue phonetically, which benefits his portrayal as Teeter and his accent. It is therefore apparent that Teeter’s accent on the show is not from a specific region of Texas. Instead, it’s an original accent created by the series’ creative team to give the character a unique feel.
