The Umbrella Academy has saved the world once again and now they have some time to relax…sort of. Nothing is still for long in this family’s life. But unsurprisingly, saving the world from the apocalypse comes with a catch, considering none of our superheroes already have their superpowers. Which isn’t ideal when something else requires it.

Or maybe this brave new world has another team of dysfunctional superpowered humans looking out for them? We have no idea, but there’s definitely more to the story that we’ve yet to see. Now we just have to figure out when to see them. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Release Date

On August 25, 2022, Netflix announced that The Umbrella Academy had been renewed for a fourth season. However, this will also be the last of the program. “I’m so excited for the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy to witness the fitting ending to the Hargreeves brothers’ journey that we began five years ago,” showrunner Steve Blackman said in a statement.

“But before we come to that conclusion, we have an incredible story ahead of us for season four, one that will keep fans hooked to the last minute. That sounds like a lot of promise!

Looks like the family is going international too, considering the credits sequence suggests Ben definitely had something going on in Korea. Unlike many other Netflix titles, there doesn’t seem to be a recurring pattern to the release date.

The first season of The Umbrella Academy aired in February 2019, the second season was in late July 2020 and the third season was canceled two years later (COVID accused) in mid-June 2022. We will be watching the show next, and we suspect that it won’t come until 2024 (sorry, but it takes a lot of work wrestling a dozen strong actors and a bunch of visual effects to bring the show to life). show.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Plot

While we have no doubt that the team faces a new apocalypse, there’s not much to say about the state of the world and what might happen to the gang at this point. All we know is that none of them have their powers now which could mean big trouble when the end of the world approaches again. Fresh from his wedding (and then inexplicably dead and then coming back to life), Luther is now on a mission to find his wife Sloan, who for some reason didn’t show up through the elevator doors with the rest of the gang. Diego and Lila seem ready and content to live a normal life, but after years as badass superheroes, can they really pull it off?

Speaking of which, is Allison dead or alive after being sent to a new world where she is at the same time as her daughter Claire and husband Ray? We feel like he’s moved into his own personal heaven and when he gets out of there, we don’t think he’ll take it well. Especially considering the dark path he had walked before. But the world we saw them in is unrealistic.

Ray and Claire exist in the same timeline but at different times. Ray was Claire’s husband in the ’60s and we find out in Season 3 that he died before she returned to the present. Claire grew out of her relationship with her ex-husband Steve… so it must have been something. In addition, Viktor also has to do without his best friend Allison, the sister he was probably closest to before and after his transformation (at least initially).

Adjusting to your new life and not just the new world can also lead you to find love or a family of your own. We will find out very soon. Then there’s Reginald Hargreeves, who is finally reunited with his late wife., which makes the whole train of thought about why he was messing with time and space oddly romantic when you think about it. If you ignore the potential genocide his attempts to get her back created.

As of August 2022, there is no trailer for The Umbrella Academy season 4, unless you want to ask Five to jump back in time through an apocalyptic madness to find him. When would season 4 hit Netflix?

Since the show has just been renewed, we have to wait a bit until it is available on the streamer. However, given the sheer number of cast members and the Stranger Things-style OTT visuals, it wouldn’t be surprising if Season 4 was released in at least a year, 2023 at the earliest.

Although history is a clue that Season 2 *was* canceled in the summer of 2020 and Season 3 came almost two years later, making Summer 2024 a possibility for Season 4… but with the lifting of pandemic restrictions, overall Land (even on production sets) may not take that long.
