The series begins with the story of a happily married couple, Simon and Valeria, with two children. Their life seems perfect until they have an accident and Valeria is kidnapped.

They then kill her and remove her heart to greet Camila, who is on her deathbed in the hospital. Camila, who is married to Zacarías, the political adviser to a presidential candidate,  later meets Simón, and the two fall in love.

Camila later finds out that her husband paid for the death of Simón’s wife for his heart transplant. He is also being blackmailed by the organization, which secretly operates the illegal organ trade, in exchange for certain policy changes to help his company if his candidate wins the election.

The first episode introduces all the main characters in the first few minutes, and tells side stories, but doesn’t leave enough time for each one and is, therefore, a bit irritating.

Since it’s originally a TV series, you can expect the story to be a soap opera and contain some over-the-top drama.

The series is a total guilty pleasure watch, packed with emotion, romance, and plenty of drama. The story initially proceeds as predicted as recipient Camila receives a heart from a sane person and falls in love with her donor’s husband without understanding why.

The doctor who performs his transplant operation tries to explain his dreams and visions, calling them nothing more than a myth, but being the adamant person he is, he even goes to a tantric to perform a ritual to get information about his Finding out the donor he constantly feels like the heart doesn’t belong to him.

She feels her donor is trying to communicate with her, trying to tell her story and how brutally she was killed to reap her heart. Camila becomes a completely different personality and begins to like what Valeria used to like.

The show promotes the cliche belief that a person feels all emotions through “their heart.” Zacarías’ love for his wife Camila is also tried to be justified here when he says he killed an innocent woman just to save his wife’s life.

After learning the whole truth, Camila makes a statement to the police and also justifies her husband’s actions by saying that he loves her very much. His mother, who is changing her life to become the First Lady, also believes what Zacarías has done could be justified and tries to convince Camila of that.

It raises the question of what is right and what is wrong, but murder must not be justified as an act of love. The fantasy of having a rich, faithful and handsome husband who would do anything for their love is born. While one kills for love, the other risks his life to find the truth.

The upstanding cop is also later shown to be sold to organized crime as predicted, as the criminals threaten to kill his family if he doesn’t.

And to make the story even more twisted, the creators also have a plot twist with the story of Samantha, Simon’s daughter. She is seen getting involved with a teenage drug addict who is too involved with her mother’s killers.

Innocently, she feels attracted to the “bad” boy and falls in love with him. Her boyfriend changes his mind when he says “love can heal everything”.

The series grabs the viewer’s attention primarily because it sheds light on the illegal business of organ transplants and how they are performed. With 14 episodes of over 40 minutes each, Binge Watch can be tiring to watch. although attractive.

At the end of the series, you just hope the story ends there. But unfortunately, it is not. It ends on a cliffhanger and with a new plot twist. The drama is comparatively toned down here. The show’s first season ends with you wishing the story weren’t more.
