Rick and Morty Season 6: Ending Explained.

The Rick and Morty season 6 finale transitions from an innocent Christmas game to a high-stakes setup for subsequent installments in the series, and sets up a fun future for season 7. Episode 10 of Rick and Morty Season 6 came armed with a slew of revelations designed to shock audiences. From revealing that the “good” Rick was a robot programmed by the real Rick to behave well, to discovering Rick Prime’s many current locations, the season really ended with a bang. Why Rick Built A Replacement Robot For Himself

The Rick and Morty season 6 finale begins to unveil the really important plot of episode 10 when Morty discovers that Rick has been working alone in his lab since their argument in the previous episode. To hide this decision from Morty and the rest of the Smith family, Rick instead created a robotic clone of himself to take his place. Somewhat tragically, the robot was programmed to be nicer (and “22% more thoughtful”) than the regular Rick, but also die if he reveals his identity. metallic nature that leaves him to a cruel existence. Rick’s reason for replacing himself with a robot appears to be twofold.

On the one hand, he has a complicated perception of his need to keep searching for the version of himself that killed his wife, to consider her vital, and to approach her with a sense of shame. On the other hand, Rick seems to have replaced himself to some extent because he couldn’t take being emotionally vulnerable and close to his family, as in Rick and Morty season 6 episode 10 he says to Morty: ” You want to know why I replaced myself… you called me boring. I have become a dog for you. This is what happens when you let people in. They touch you, they mess things up, they kill your family.” could be a response to the changing dynamic between the two, where Morty is less in awe of Rick than perhaps in previous seasons. But Rick’s decision to replace himself with a friendlier and more considerate robot suggests that Rick seems angrier at himself than at his grandson. If Rick really believed that Morty was wrong, it would be an odd move to build a version of himself that would be kinder to Morty. Being emotionally distant from being a “funny” grandpa and earning Morty’s respect through his adventures, this replacement would make sense.

Why Rick Didn’t Tell Morty He Was Still Looking For Rick Prime

Rick doesn’t explain that he was still looking for series villain Rick Prime until Morty discovered him in the Rick and Morty season 6 finale, and seems to have a similar explanation for why the scientist turned himself through replacing a doppelganger robot. Rick compares the scenario to bad Netflix drama, revealing a sense of unease about his mission of revenge. The scientist is self-aware enough to see how his intense commitment to finding Rick Prime harms both himself and those he cares about, but he is unable to change, and therefore finds it better to hide what he is up to. The episode also suggests that there’s more to Rick’s determination to find his enemy, Rick Prime than meets the eye.

His claim is that “that’s what happens when you let people in and they stop respecting you they kill your family.” He’s clearly not referring to the President here since it’s highly unlikely he would have let Morty die. While this might just be a general statement, the fact that the episode is about Rick searching for his wife’s killer suggests it might be  Rick Prima. The couple with an unseen story would clash with Rick’s backstory, but it also wouldn’t be impossible for viewers not to have seen the full story right now, as there are sure to be future twists.

What Rick Was Doing In His Lab The Whole Time

The Rick and Morty season 6 finale shows Rick gathering clues from Rick Prime’s trap earlier in the season to try to track him down. This includes using Rick Prime’s hologram to compare his butt to that of other versions of Rick. , and extracting a data file from the rubble. Given the layers and layers of explosives and traps on display inside, Rick probably spent the entire time his robot replaced him figuring out how to safely erase the data from this death collection. Why Rick Prime Shows Up As Being In So Many Locations

Recovering Rick Prime’s whereabouts initially seems like a victory for the show’s main character, Rick, as he can finally get a clue as to where Prime is at the end of Rick and Morty Season 6. That means countless possible locations appear next to him, with Rick stating that his enemy is in all of those locations. There are a number of ways Rick Prime could do this, depending on Rick’s technology and what the show has previously revealed in terms of the plot. copies of himself like Rick does in the Season 6 finale, or recruited Rick’s enemies to escape and mess with him. The last of these possibilities carry the most weight, as it would explain why the conversation between Rick Prime and Jerry Cronenberg is shown at the end of the Rick and Morty season 6 premiere. While Rick Prime kills this Jerry, the future of the show could see Rick Prime capitalize on the negative impact the pair has had on other worlds and universes by using their vendettas against the Smith family.

Why Rick & Morty Season 6 Hid Its Main Plot

Rick and Morty Season 6 kept toying with the idea of its overarching storyline. As Rick enthusiastically states in the final scenes of “Rick and Morty” season 6, end of episode 10, the fact that he now has places to potentially hunt down Rick Prime means that the stage is ready for the next season. of the program.
