With all the true crime and crime drama documentaries out there, you’d think audiences would get bored with murder mysteries. But if anything, Only Murders in the Building proves we love a good detective team. Hulu’s hit series is in its second season and just like Season 1, the show has the comedy, intrigue, and drama to make it one of the best binge shows out there. Starring Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez, the show is Meta in its true-crime play.

Podcasts and the media’s obsessed fans who think they too can solve a murder. With the exception of the Only Murders tenants, they can really close the case, largely because the murder happened right in their building. At the end of season one (spoiler alert), the trio discovered that the killer was none other than Charles’s (Martin’s) friend Jan, an oboist who loved to kill her friends.

The second season began right after the first, with the caretaker Bunny being killed shortly after the group celebrated Jan’s arrest. As in season 1, there are a number of unanswered questions (how Bunny broke into Mabel’s apartment? How will an expensive painting of Charles’ father be connected to his death?) and some famous guest stars (Cara Delevigne, Amy Schumer) around to shake things up. Only Murders knew its strengths from season one and managed to stick with it and make another successful mystery. And what about Season 3? Yes! According to Variety, Only Murders in the Building has already been renewed for Season 3. The show received another green light just a week into its second season, meaning the show was once again a huge hit for Hulu.

We don’t have an official date yet as the show is still airing its second season. But if the first two seasons are any indication, we can expect Season 3 to arrive on Hulu sometime in the summer of 2023. We can also assume that we will get 10 episodes of the new season, just like seasons 1 and 2.

When it comes to setting the Season 3 release date, let’s note that Season 1 premiered in August 2021 and Season 2 debuted on June 28th and is scheduled to end on August 23rd. Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Plot

There’s no telling which murder(s) will need to be investigated in season three as season two, which premiered June 28, has just begun. It will air weekly on Tuesdays throughout the summer, with the finale available to stream in August. 23. Charles (Steve Martin), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Oliver (Martin Short) are now involved in the investigation into the violent death of Arconia President Bunny Folger, of which the three are also suspects.
