The first season of the collection premiered on March 23, 2021, and obtained commonly high-quality critiques from critics. It has been rated 7.2/10 on IMDb. Considering the high-quality response, the makers have renewed the collection for the 2nd season, that’s scheduled to best soon.

The second season of Leonardo premiered in March 2022 and was renewed for a second season in the same month. With that in mind, Season 3 should be released sometime in 2023.

Leonardo Season Storyline

The television series Leonardo, a historical drama series, was created by Frank Spotnitz and Steve Thompson. The story explores the mysteries and drama behind the genius of Leonardo da Vinci (Turner): his life, work, and personal struggles in the context of Renaissance Italy. In 1506, da Vinci was accused of murdering Caterina da Cremona (De Angelis), his friend and muse.

Interrogated by Stefano Giraldi (Highmore), an ambitious official of the Duchy of Milan, Leonardo begins to tell the story of his life around. It begins with his first encounter with Caterina in the workshop of his teacher Andrea del Verrocchio (Giannini). Giraldi, fascinated by the artist’s personality, begins to suspect that Leonardo might be innocent and works to find out the truth.

We see da Vinci growing into a peerless genius and renowned scholar whose work disrupts the established order. His restless curiosity about art, science and technology is fueled by a deep quest for knowledge and he is determined to unravel the mysteries of the world around him. Gradually, the episodes also reveal the inner torments of a man obsessed with achieving perfection.

Yes, as the drama shows, Leonardo created a highly accurate color-coded map of the strategically important city of Imola, while his patron was Pope Alexander’s warlord Cesare Borgia (played by Max Bennett), Jr. SEEN. Leonardo da Vinci, played by Aidan Turner in the new historical drama Leonardo, is a man out of step with his times.

Leonardo Season 3 Plot

Leonardo da Vinci’s world collapses when the city of Otranto is destroyed by an Ottoman invasion. On the battlefield, the Turks use da Vinci’s own weapons against him… whose designs were stolen by someone he trusted. This betrayal will haunt Leo long after the battle is decided, as will the deaths of loved ones have lost in battle. When Rome launches a crusade against the Turks, he jumps at the opportunity to join, but his mission is complicated by a series of gruesome murders that terrorize Italy and threaten the crusade itself.
