The beloved historical drama Call the Midwife has been officially extended for two more seasons, ensuring its presence on television through at least 2026. This news is all about Call The Midwife Season 14 & Season 15. 

Since its debut in 2012, crafted by Heidi Thomas, Call the Midwife has captivated audiences with its tales of nurse midwives serving in London’s East End during the late 1950s and 1960s. While PBS in the U.S. broadcasts the show, it has not confirmed future seasons as of yet.

The BBC, responsible for producing the series, shared news of the extension on Monday, February 13, with the network’s Drama Director, Lindsay Salt, praising the series for its “enduring popularity” due to its exceptional creative vision and diligent effort.

Currently, Season 12 is on air, with its conclusion scheduled for two weeks from now. Deadline reports that production for Season 13 is expected to commence this Spring.

Seasons 14 and 15 are set to deliver eight one-hour episodes each, in addition to Christmas specials. These upcoming seasons will transition the narrative into the 1970s, delving deeper into the personal and professional lives of the midwives and nuns of Nonnatus House.

In related news, PBS has announced that Season 3 of ‘Sanditon’ will be its final season, accompanied by a newly released trailer.

Heidi Thomas expressed her excitement about moving into the new decade with the show, saying, “We are a family behind the scenes, on the screen, and in front of the telly, and I’m thrilled that we’re all heading into the 1970s together.”

Dame Pippa Harris, the show’s executive producer, remarked on its longevity as a “tremendous achievement,” attributing its success to the “passion and dedication of our cast and crew,” for which she expressed immense pride.
