The basic premise of the series follows US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Chuck Roades, as he targets hedge fund king and popular philanthropist Bobby “Axe” Axelrod. Each of them is put on a collision course, using their considerable intelligence and influence to outmaneuver the other, Looms.
Billions Season 7 Unleash Date

The final season of Billions premiered on January 23, 2022. Therefore, for the time being, we cannot expect Season 7 to be released this year.
However, it is set to be released sometime in 2023. The upcoming season is expected to have 12 episodes, like the previous six seasons. The makers could announce further changes soon.

Billions Season 6 recap

After Chuck is removed from public office, he doesn’t have the power to raid, but the units are too much of a mystery for him to ignore. With the help of Karl Allerd, he enters one of the warehouses where a unit is kept. and pull out successfully. He contacts an IT pro who tells Chuck they only have ten attempts to open the drive.
If the device does not open on the 10th attempt, it will shut down permanently. The IT expert manages to open it and effectively takes over a hundred million in crypto from Prince. Since one of the units is carrying so much money, Chuck thinks the others are doing the same.
However, the way he first collected the information was not legal. Because of this, he faces a possible prison sentence. Meanwhile, Prince faces charges of tax fraud. Prince keeps claiming that there is nothing on those disks, but as it turns out towards the end of the episode, he lies.
In fact, they carry $3.5 billion worth of cryptocurrencies. Faced with a possible prison sentence, Prince decides to sacrifice all the money on the altar of his ambition. Let the IT pro run all ten tries and the money’s gone forever. Unable to prove Mike committed tax fraud, Chuck is arrested for using a bogus warrant and obtaining evidence under false pretenses.
