The Rookie Season 5 Storyline

In the Rookie, Nathan Fillion plays John Nolan, a 45-year-old divorcee who owns a construction company and is the father of one adult son. But his life changes dramatically after he helps stop a bank robbery. John moves to Los Angeles from Pennsylvania to join the LAPD as a freshman. The oldest rookie in the LAPD, John Nolan used his life experience, tenacity, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years younger after they’d moved on and become full-fledged cops. As the training draws to a close, and Nolan now faces his greatest struggle as a cop when he must accept his decisions for the sake of truth.
