The series and films about families dedicated to the Church deal with only one topic; Hypocrisy. Are all the families that claim to be pastors hypocrites, or is the show doing an excellent job of getting us to think differently?

Created by Danny McBride, Righteous Gemstones is a dark comedy that tells the story of Gemstone. The family has a notorious history of charity work but is mired in the detour they take to pass down the family tree.

Although the series draws ideas from real-life experiences, the story is satirical and not based on the real church and evangelical family. Will McBride’s creation be renewed for a third season?

The Righteous Gemstones Season 3 Release Date

The second season of the Black family drama is yet to come. However, HBO has already renewed the series for a third season. The first season premiered on August 18, 2019, and the second season of the series is expected to premiere on  January 9, 2022.

The two films have a two-year time frame, and if season 3 follows the same track, we could expect season 3 to premiere sometime in 2023.

The first season has nine episodes with a running time of 3360 minutes, and we could expect the same. for the second and third seasons.

The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 Recap

The second season of The Righteous Gemstones has received an excellent response from audiences. We assume that this will also be the case for season 1/3 of the series The Righteous Gemstones.

At the end of the second season of The Righteous Gemstones, we saw that Eli offers Jesse his perks as well as financial help so that he can see Zion Land. Despite the kids’ protests, Eli agrees to their plan and after learning the truth, Junior forgives Eli but then tells him he’s not at the bottom anymore.

The cycle ninjas. That night, the Cycle Ninjas escape from prison. Let’s see what happens next. Perhaps The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 story takes place in  The Righteous Gemstones Season 3.
