Created by Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon, Pennyworth follows the life of Alfred Pennyworth, who we all know was Batman’s faithful and caring butler and only father figure after the death of his parents. The show is set in the 1960s before the Pennyworths and Waynes merged. Alfred (Alfie) is considered a clever British soldier who now has the goal of starting his own security company. The show first aired in July 2019 and has since been picked up by for a further 2 seasons. It was well received by audiences, with a high rating of around 8 on IMDb.
While he’s not an exact adaptation of the comic book character, he leans a little more toward Alfred from Gotham City or other Batman films. The series’ third expansion was announced shortly after HBO Max introduced it to its platform and added it to the title, The Origin of Batman’s Butler. With the 6 episodes airing soon this week, the season is almost half over. We can expect to see a lot more of Pennyworth and her tactics to create havoc around her. Calm down once and for all.
Pennyworth Season 3 Episode 6 Release Date

In October 2021, the first two seasons of the series aired on Epix, before announcing last year that it would be moving to sister network HBO Max for its third season. After months of waiting, the network officially confirmed that the series is returning for the fall season this year. The 6th episode of “Hedgehunter” of the show will air on October 27, 2022

The adventure series stars Jack Bannon as the title character Alfred Pennyworth, Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne, Emma Paetz as Martha Wayne, Ryan Fletcher as Dave Boy, Dorothy Atkinson as Mary Pennyworth, Paloma Faith as Bet Sykes, and Emma Corrin as Peggy Sykes and Simon Manyonda as Lucius Fox. Famous actor and Bridgerton stuntman Chi Lewis-Parry are also set to play Blue Raven.

Having retired from life as a soldier in the Air Force, Alfred Pennyworth has now settled into life as a detective for a security firm. Before that he worked in a club to earn enough to live on. He is soon discovered by Thomas Wayne, Patrick Wayne’s son and Bruce Wayne’s father. The story also features Samantha as Bruce’s sister, who does not appear in the comics. Bruce Wayne was thought to be the only son, but changes like this make the show more exciting as we never know what’s next. This season focused on a particularly dangerous operation conducted by the CIA. A hypnotic drug is circulating in the city and many people have fallen victim to it. The drug has also been the cause of many murders, but not much is known about it. Pennyworth will be dramatic and mysterious now that she only has 5 episodes left. It is expected to end in November this year.
It hasn’t been confirmed yet if there will be a fourth season, especially since it’s collaborating with HBO Max starting this season. In the previous episode that aired on October 13, 2022, titled “Silver Birch,” we were able to see Patrick Wayne asking Pennyworth to help him break his son out of prison. He is taken there after trying to kill his wife Martha. Patrick offers to give him the required million pounds, but he must succeed. This makes Alfred agree and he suggests that Thomas may have been drugged.
He goes to talk to Aziz, but Aziz tells him that Thomas thinks the tower is the best place for him. Alfie and Daveboy don’t listen to him, believing there is something to it. They go to the tower and manage to escape with Thomas, causing all the cops to start chasing them. Alfred takes Thomas home where he meets Samantha, his daughter. Thomas then explains that Wayne Enterprises was in the thick of it along with the CIA. to run a psychoactive drug operation called the Lullaby State. Martha finds out in the end, and that’s why they used it to attack her. When Alfred arrives at Wayne’s house, he is arrested along with everyone else in the house but walks away shortly afterward.
