Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, the seventh entry in the long-running franchise. The 1996 film Mission: Impossible is marked by Cruise and the incredible stunts he performs: hanging cables, climbing the Burj Khalifa, doing a HALO skydive, and hanging himself on the outside of a Capture, some of the most memorable of the aircraft as it takes off.

Even as Tom Cruise approaches 60, the Mission: Impossible movies seem to just keep getting better. The latest entry, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, is the highest-rated in the franchise on Rotten Tomatoes (97% fresh) and has had the highest-grossing of any previous film ($791 million worldwide).

So how will Cruise up the stakes in this latest entry in the action franchise? Here’s everything we know about Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One was recently pushed back to July 14, 2023 (opens in a new tab) according to multiple reports.

Mission: Impossible: Fallout was released in 2018 and the hope was that the next film would follow suit with a July 2020 release.

However, in the early days of the pandemic, it was only moved from that date in July 2020  to December 2020 for it to be moved back to November 19, 2021, then  May 27, 2022, and then again to September 1.

January 30, 2022. One reason for the delays was the manufacturing challenges during the pandemic. Production has been shut down multiple times, first at the start of the pandemic and then again in 2021 when there were cases in the crew.

At one point during production, Cruise was caught on audio criticizing (opens in a new tab) crew members for not following COVID safety protocols. filmed back-to-back with film number seven and will presumably be called Dead Reckoning Part Two) from its previous date of July 7, 2023, to June 28, 2024.

Following a leak incident on May 21st (opens in a new tab), Paramount has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated next entry in Tom Cruise’s spy franchise.

Tom Cruise has been central to the Mission: Impossible franchise since its inception as Impossible Mission Force (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt. It has become one of the actor’s most iconic roles in a career that has also included films such as Top Gun (he’s getting his own sequel, Top Gun: Maverick), Risky Business, and Jerry Maguire.

Although it was originally thought that Cruise would hand the franchise over to Jeremy Renner after he was introduced in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Cruise remains a constant and driving force behind the films (Renner left the franchise after Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation ).

However, Mission: Impossible has assembled a team to go alongside Cruise in his latest films, The IMF team supporting Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is joined by Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell (present from Mission: Impossible), Simon Pegg’s Benji Dunn (present from Mission: Impossible III) and Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust (present from Mission: Impossible ) directed. : Impossible – Rogue Nation).

There are also some playful allies from previous films who will return for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, including Vanessa Kirby’s White Widow and Angela Bassett’s Erika Sloane, who also made her debut in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. as Henry Czerny, who played Eugene Kittridge in the original Mission: Impossible.

This seventh installment marks Mission: Impossible debut starring Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Captain America: The First Avenger), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Stranger Things), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Rob Delaney ( Home Sweet Home Alone, Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Charles Parnell (The Last Ship, Top Gun: Maverick), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire, Perry Mason) and Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, The Favorite).
