Without a doubt, Law & Order season 24 has been formally confirmed. NBC renewed SVU for 3 extra seasons in February 2020.

This is assured to rejuvenate Law & Order Special Victims Unit for a twenty-fourth season, even though NBC has now no longer introduced the collection’s launch date.

The collection lowered back to its conventional disconnected format, examining “the police officers who inspect crimes and the community attorneys who make lawbreakers,” because it did in its first run.

The longest-running TV series in history lived up to its name (500+ episodes)! Law and Order SVU Season 23 had 22 episodes. It aired on February 24, 2022, with a double episode. The SVU team is led by Captain Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay).

The rest of the team consists of Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (played by IceT), Detective Amanda Rollins (played by Kelli Giddish), and newly added Detective Joe Velasco (Octavio Pisano).

The task force was once led by Deputy Chief Christian Garland (played by Demore Barnes), but Chief Tommy McGrath (played by Terry Serpico) put an end to that. The SVU team saw some wild cases including;

Benson was injured in a car accident, the humiliation of a social media star, his most outrageous case, a crossover with the organized crime faced by Richard Wheatley, racist attacks, the courage to come out of the closet, solve unsolved rapes, privileged children, wealthy tech giants with power complexes, sex trafficking, 9/11 connections and Burton Lowe returning into Benson’s life to make amends.

In Season 24 of Law and Order’s SVU, we can expect to see even more of them! We can expect to see more of Benson’s compassion for the victims of sex crimes. We can see her climbing even further up the ladder. We saw her cross paths with her old partner, Detective Elliot Stabler (played by Christopher Meloni).

Some audiences want them to end up together, but the stories might not allow for that. At least the two have been speaking (and collaborating) again since Stabler directed Benson for some undercover work.
