House of the Dragon Episode 6 Ending Explained: How King Viserys is still alive?

House of The Dragon Episode 6 begins with the great time warp we all knew was coming. It’s pushed ten years into the future and not only are there new actors playing the characters we’ve already fallen in love with but there are also several new characters as well.

But does that cause any problems with the amazing cast chemistry the show has given us so far? And does it disrupt the flow of the true story? Fortunately, this is not the case.

House of the Dragon Episode 6 Recap

While Milly Alcock did a fantastic job as Rhaenyra, Emma D’Arcy remains with the same gruff attitude. The episode begins with her birth and moments later she’s dressed, walking through the castle, leaving a trail. blood behind her, all to assert her power against her best friend, Queen Alicent Hightower (now played by Olivia Cooke).

These two ladies perfectly continue the tension that the two characters have with each other. What used to be love and appreciation has turned to distrust and loathing, especially after letting it fester for years. Fans were concerned that these characters’ relationships would suffer due to on-screen actor changes, but there’s a reason they’re pros since nothing seems to have changed.

This is also a testament to the writing, directing, and editing. You know there’s nothing to do in the Game of Thrones era but make babies, and that’s exactly what Daemon and Rhaenyra did, albeit sadly not with each other. You can hear little feet pattering everywhere as there are many more Targaryens running around now. Between the king and queen, Rhaenyra and Lenor, and Daemon and Laena, there are at least eight children.

This episode does a good job of showing how frail and ill he is now, but knowing it’s been ten years since he set foot on death’s doorstep. it makes you a little incredible. While unfortunately, we don’t get any scenes with D’Arcy’s Daemon (Matt Smith) and Rhaenyra, we do get some great moments from him. He’s stolen the hearts of viewers everywhere and doesn’t disappoint in House of The Dragon Episode 6. In this episode alone, there are some emotional and powerful performances and the setup for him to cross paths with his niece again, something almost everyone who watches this show looks forward to.

Also, we can see how he looks really cool as he rides on the back of a dragon once again. So that’s it. In fact, one of the best things about House of The Dragon Episode 6 is that it draws heavily on these dragons. There are several dragons in this episode and each time they look amazing. We see them flying through the air, tearing up goat carcasses and even taking a close-up of the face, which appears to be filled with pain and confusion.

Prepare to shed a few tears at what this dragon is going through. As for the kids, well, they’re pretty much all little idiots. At least the guys who live in the castle, Aegon II Targaryen is the worst of them. The guy exudes serious Joffrey vibes that will have viewers wishing for his untimely death, too. Of course, this mainly means that the actor is doing a great job at being obnoxious. So, keep it up, boy. House of the Dragon kicked off with an incredible episode that brought salvation to even the most skeptical of fans, and Episode 6 has a downright brutal callback. We won’t go into spoilers, but it showed that they aren’t afraid to take risks and kill almost anyone to make a point.

This episode isn’t without little Easter eggs for the great Game of Thrones lore, either. There are exciting names like Joffrey and Pentos that will have fans gasping and pointing at the screen. It’s safe to say that while the time warp in Episode 6 of House of The Dragon was highly anticipated, it was also somewhat dreaded by fans.

Going to the point of needing to replace the actors (who did a phenomenal job, mind you) can really spoil the dynamic of the show. Luckily for us, that was not the case in this case. This episode has wacky drama, noxious whispers, and plenty of dragons (finally! There’s a lot to love, and while Milly Alcock and Emily Carey are gone, their legacy lives on in their characters. Things are heating up, and we can wait to see what happens next.
